Representatives of several leading Egyptian media outlets visit RA Ministry of Diaspora
On June 26, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received representatives of several leading Egyptian media outlets who, in light of Air Cairo’s June 20 launch of the regular flights from and to Hurgada and Yerevan, are on a cognitive visit to Armenia at the joint initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Egypt and the Armenian Prelacy of Egypt. During their visit, the Egyptian journalists will prepare and publish materials devoted to Armenia, its opportunities for tourism and attractiveness for tourists.
The journalists have expressed the desire to touch upon the Armenia-Diaspora partnership and the activities of the RA Ministry of Diaspora in their articles as well.
Among the participants of the meeting were journalist Shadia Ataala (journalist for Al Ahram-one of the oldest newspapers in Egypt) and Yusef Hasabalaa, journalist for DMS TV (the most influential and most popular television station in Egypt) Hoda Mohammed, journalist for El Fagr website Ahmed Makau, journalist for the Dar El Hinal News Agency Hazel Ilmallah and journalist for Diplomacy Magazine Abdelah Ali Ali.
Greeting the guests, the Minister of Diaspora expressed gratitude for such an interesting initiative and stated that the Arab World received the Armenian Genocide survivors with the mercy of a relative and provided them with opportunities to become self-organized and grow as citizens and preserve their national image and culture at the same time.
Afterwards, Minister Hranush Hakobyan gave an interview to the Egyptian media outlets as she answered questions about the activities of the Ministry of Diaspora, the Armenia-Diaspora partnership and the solutions to the issues of Syrian-Armenians who have settled in Armenia.
The Egyptian journalists watched a film devoted to the programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
