Vardanyan Center of Krasnodar hosted year-end concert

The Vardanyan Educational and Cultural Center of the Armenian Diocese of Krasnodar always prepares for the concerts marking the end of the given academic year with a high sense of responsibility. All the organizations of the Center (“Armat” Armenian School, Narek Armenian Ensemble and the Church Lovers Youth Organization) put in their efforts and achieve wonderful results.
As Yerazik Harutyunyan reported to Hayern Aysor, the 2016-17 Academic Year ended with a festive ceremony held through the combined efforts of the students, teachers and parents. Some organized, helped as volunteers, choreographed, designed or directed a choir, while others were active in the audience, but everyone participated in the event.
According to tradition, the year-end concert began with opening remarks by Senior Priest Sargis Tashjian, who stated the growing role of the Center in the Armenian community of Krasnodar, the importance of Armenian education for Armenians and the message of the year-end concert to the parents and the Center’s friends.
The opening remarks were followed by the lively performances of the students and groups. The Aivazovsy Painting Club and teacher Srbuhi Safaryan presented the play based on the motives of the famous Armenian film “Gtnvats Yeraz” (Found Dream); the Byron English Language Music Group presented another musical with the help of teacher Margarita Vardanyan, while the newly forming Armenian folk instruments group entertained the audience with performances of rhythmic songs by young dhol players.
The “Little Mher”, “My World”, “Cross-Stone” and “Urartu” Armenian language and native studies classrooms, with the help of teachers Yerazik Karapetyan, Karine Katanyan, Arshaluys Yeremyan and Meksida Hovhannisyan, presented the plays “A Drop of Honey”, “Barekendan”, “Evening” and “Seven Songs About Armenia”. The little actors were acted seriously and naturally, charming and amazing the audience.
The members of the Armenian Church History Club, upon the order of teacher Gohar Mkhitaryan, recalled the Commandments of the Bible, and the children of the Komitas Armenian Folk Songs Studio sang songs under the direction of wonderful specialist Inessa Kotsinyan.
The children of the Narek Armenian Ensemble satisfied the audience and their director Amalya Mosinyan with their performances of the songs “Let’s Sing Armenian” and “Dancing the Dance of Ancestors”. The flower design studio engaged the audience in decorating the hall with flowers, and the concert ended with the screening of a touching video made by the “Garegin Nzhdeh” group about the “Mets Mher” classroom and teacher Yerazik Karapetyan.
Event organizer and educator Karine Yeghikyan, technical engineer Lusine Bayatyan, hosts Ani Mirumyan and Tigran Hovhannisyan had worked hard to turn this into an event with an ideological basis. First, it was heard with the call “Come to the Armenian School” from 4-year-old Angelica, began with the melody “There is a Great Armenia” performed by the children, developed with the message “We Don’t Want War!” and ended with the promises of young people to be devoted to Armenia.
Another academic year drew to an end, but the teachers and students of Vardanyan Center will continue with the hope to carry out more activities.
