Diaspora Minister receives UAE Ambassador to Armenia Jassim Mohammed Al Qasimi

On June 21, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia Jassim Mohammed Al Qasimi.

Greeting the Ambassador, the Minister presented the state policy of the Ministry of Diaspora and the programs contributing to the implementation of that policy, as well as the key objectives and future actions of the Ministry.

The Ambassador of the UAE expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and the detailed conversation and stated that the United Arab Emirates are interested in Armenia and are seeking opportunities for further strengthening of the friendly relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates. The Ambassador also stated that the Armenians make great contributions to business, culture and education in the country and stressed the fact that the Deputy Emir of the UAE was scheduled to visit Armenia.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan stated that friendship becomes stronger when friends get to know each other better and become recognizable. She urged to increase the reciprocal visits at different levels, enhance tourism and organize joint concerts, conferences, discussions and exhibitions.

The recommendations were accepted with excitement, and other issues on future cooperation were also considered during the meeting.
