Armenia has exported about 32,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables

Throughout 2017, Armenia has exported about 32,500 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, of which 31,500 have been exported to the Russian Federation. Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Robert Makaryan provided details during a June 8 press conference. According to Makaryan, the rest of the fruits and vegetables were exported to Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.

“Armenia has exported about 17,000 tons of tomatoes. In the next ten to fifteen days, Armenia will also start exporting apricots. We have already talked to exporting companies, and they are ready to export. If everything goes as planned and the climate is favorable, we will have normal exports this year,” the Deputy Minister noted.
