Community council of Italy’s Tolfa recognizes the Armenian Genocide

At the initiative of the Association of the Armenian community in Rome (Assoarmeni), the community council of the Italian city of Tolfa has recognized the Armenian Genocide.

Hayern Aysor, citing Nouvelles d’Arménie, reports that during an event devoted to the community council’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Mayor Luigi Landi stated that the small city of Tolfa, which is not far from Rome, has always respected the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The representatives of the local Armenian community expressed gratitude for the humanitarianism that the municipal authorities manifested by recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

Afterwards, an Armenian cross-stone was unveiled and consecrated by representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church Tirayr Hakobyan at the local city park.
