Armenian Genocide commemoration events in Valencia

Ararat Armenian Association of Valencia held events commemorating the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Mislata, Valencia. Among the attendees were the Spanish and Armenian citizens of Valencia and foreigners from Mislata, Valencia, Carcaixent, Cullera, Silla, Manises, Alzira and other cities.
As reported Ararat Armenian Association to Hayern Aysor, more than 200 attendees gathered near the “Cross of Life” monument in Mislata with a 50-meter Armenian tricolor flag. Before burning incense and lighting candles, Ararat Ghukasyan, Nelly Abovyan, Gaiane Ghazaryan, Vanik Avetisyan and Sandra Martinez gave their speeches, after which the attendees were very excited as they listened to little Khachik recite poems and young singer Edgar Martirosyan perform Armenian patriotic songs.
In his speech, Ararat Ghukasyan stated that two more cities of Spain would soon join the other cities having recognized the Armenian Genocide.
The Armenian Genocide commemoration events ended with an event held at the Cultural Center in Mislata where singers Edgar Abramyan, Anna Asoyan and Edgar Martirosyan performed the famous songs of Komitas, Aznavour, Decker, Ara Gevorgyan and others with the accompaniment of Ukrainian pianists Alina Sakhnenko and Mikola Dorosh and violinist Svetlana Krisanova.
