Hebrew University of Jerusalem hosts Armenian Genocide commemoration event

On April 25, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem hosted an event commemorating the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

As reported Hayern Aysor, the commemoration event began with an opening speech by the event organizer, Professor Reuven Amitai. The latter also read the welcoming speech by Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Hranush Hakobyan. Fr. Archimandrite Koryun Baghdasaryann read the welcoming speech by Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fr. Archbishop Nourhan Manougian. Among other speakers were Fr. Supreme Archimandrite Samvel Agoyan, Honorary Consul of Armenia in Israel Tsolak Momjyan and Rector of the Humanities Department of the University, Professor Uzi Rebhun.

The keynote speaker was Professor Stefan Irhig. The event also featured a lecture by Dr. Kaisi Tait and performances by the students of the Holy Translators School and the Kejekoushian family.
