Ministries of the Republic of Armenia have adopted a new culture for joint activities in execution of the assignment of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The Ministry of Diaspora will be carrying out a number of programs with the Ministries of Culture and Healthcare. This is what Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said in an interview with Armenpress. Hakobyan recently signed joint orders with the Ministers of Culture and Healthcare. According to Hranush Hakobyan, according to the plan, the Ministers have decided to create task forces composed of employees of two ministries that will be in charge of implementing the programs. “The main axis of the programs of the Government of the Republic of Armenia is the policy on support to investment projects, meaning the extent to which we can engage investments in Armenia. The Ministry of Diaspora has made relevant proposals and shared its view on the use of the potential of the Armenian Diaspora. Currently, we are carrying out our activities to use the potential of the Armenian Diaspora for the development of Armenia in all sectors. We have held a discussion with almost all ministers and have observed the sectors in which there is an opportunity for collaboration. We have started drawing up a list of certain actions that we need to carry out in Armenia and the Diaspora,” the Minister said. Hakobyan informed that, in addition to collaboration with the aforementioned Ministries, the Ministry of Diaspora is also working on expanding cooperation and on signing relevant orders with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. “It is more than important for us to disseminate and popularize Armenia’s cultural policy in the Diaspora, train Diaspora Armenian cultural figures and introduce them to cultural news so that we can help bring young Armenians closer to their identity and help solve the problems with preservation of the Armenian identity through Armenian culture.

As far as healthcare is concerned, I must say that our compatriots make great contributions to the advancement of healthcare in different countries around the world. We Armenians have tens of thousands of doctors who are able to actively use their knowledge and skills in order to maintain the health of people in their respective countries of residence. In particular, after the Spitak Earthquake, we saw how Armenian doctors made their great contributions to the solution to health-related issues in Armenia. They came to help the devastated, visited Artsakh and supported soldiers, and hundreds of Armenian doctors managed to take training courses and used their contacts to transport medical equipment worth millions of dollars to Armenia.

They still use those contacts. They spend their vacation in Armenia where they give lectures, conduct surgeries and provide consultancy services. As I mentioned, the signing of an order with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia is in progress, and the focus is on the supply of textbooks to Armenian schools abroad, teacher training and the teaching of Armenian,” Hranush Hakobyan emphasized. The Minister touched upon several events to be held in the months to come, in particular the series of events dedicated to the 650^th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian community of Poland (concerts, exhibitions, conferences in Poland and Armenia). The annual “The World in a Village” International Festival will be an interesting program. Sydney will host an Armenian Festival. Armenia will host the Days of the Armenian Community of Argentina, Stavropol will host Armenian Culture Days, Armenia will host events dedicated to the 26^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the Days of the Armenians of Atrpatakan in Armenia, Iran will host Days of Armenians, etc. Medical associations will be established in the countries that still don’t have such associations. There will be preparations for the Armenian medical congress to be held in Argentina. There will also be other events.”
