Event dedicated to Mijink and Mothers’ Day held in Zakho

On the occasion of Mijink and Mothers’ Day, the social committee of the St. Mary’s Church in the Iraqi city of Zakho recently organized a children’s masquerade at Shirak Hall, gathering 54 children.
As reported Priest Mambre Hmaiagian of Zakho to Hayern Aysor, all the participants received gifts, and the best received certificates for Best National-Patriotic Character, Best Idea and Mastery of Performance.
After the masquerade, 33 children recited the poems of Armenian poets devoted to mothers. At the end, people dressed as heroes of various animated films entertained the children with their performances of songs and dances.
