Human Rights Defender of Artsakh Ruben Melikyan is on a working visit to the United States of America with the support of the Armenian National Committee of America-Eastern Region.
Since 8 March, Ruben Melikyan has participated in 33 events and given seven public speeches to the academic community and various circles of the Armenian community of America in New York, Boston, Providence and Washington DC.
On 15 and 16 March, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh presented the current concerns about human rights protection to Congressmen Valdao, Schiff and McGovern. In particular, he discussed the atrocities that Azerbaijani armed forces committed during the Four-Day Artsakh War in April 2016 and Lapshin’s case.
