Primate of Armenian Diocese of Tehran conducts opening ceremony of Hakobian Commercial House
On March 9, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, His Grace, Fr. Archbishop Sepuh S. Sarkisian, with the accompaniment of Chairman of the Diocesan Council Robert Beglarian and Head of the Divan of the Armenian Prelacy Serozh Ohanian, conducted the opening of a new shop of the Hakobian Commercial House in one of the sections of the new Espinas Hotel located in northern Tehran.
At the entrance of the hotel, His Holiness was greeted by the Commercial House’s director Smbat Hakobian and his brother, Harmik Hakobian, as well as the Institution’s officials and guests. After the traditional blessing of salt and bread, His Holiness cut the ribbon and toured the sections of the shop, after which His Holiness congratulated the Hakobians and particularly Smbat Hakobian for their enterprising and futurist spirit. “You have made and make a great contribution to the commerce and industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and it is a great honor for us Armenians and an occasion to take pride,” His Holiness said and added: “I cordially congratulate and appreciate you. I also wish you success and more fruitful activities.”
Among other guests at the event were Gevorg Vardanyan and several partners.
