An Ararat brandy tasting was held at the ceremonies hall of Hotel de France in Vienna on November 19. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Austria and Yerevan’s ARARAT Brandy Factory with support from the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine of Austria.
The event began with opening remarks by RA Ambassador to Austria Arman Kirakossian and welcoming remarks by Director of ARARAT Brandy Factory Ara Grigoryan. During the event, the guests were introduced to the foundation and development of Armenian brandy production, the variety of products, as well as the delicacies of the tasting. The tasting was held with performances of live jazz music by famous Lebanese-Armenian jazz pianist Hovhannes Jibian.
Among the attendees were Austrian government officials, particularly foreign affairs officials and circles of commerce and trade, leaders of diplomatic missions accredited to Vienna, winemakers, administrators of companies specialized in producing and selling wine, as well as journalists.
A similar event had been held in London earlier. At Hyatt Regency-Churchill Hotel, Armenia’s Embassy, IDS and ARARAT Brandy’s official representative in the UK (Vinorium) organized an Armenian brandy tasting for several diplomats accredited to London and other guests.
The event began with welcoming remarks by the embassy’s advisor Ara Margaryan, after which the guests were introduced to the history and peculiarities of Armenian brandy.
In June, ARARAT Brandy was included in the IDS catalog, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
