AGBU Vahe Karapetian Center carrying out another program for support to Syrian-Armenians
The Armenian General Benevolent Union Armenia Headquarters and the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO are distributing the $25,000 donation that Diaspora Armenian benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Kirk and Arsineh Kazazian have made to the AGBU Syrian-Armenian Relief Fund. The funds are being distributed at the AGBU Vahe Karapetian Center in Yerevan.
In accordance with the humanitarian assistance program, 250 Syrian-Armenian needy families will receive $100 dollars in assistance that will mainly be used for reimbursing heating expenses.
Deputy Director of AGBU Armenia Headquarters Hovik Yordekyan stated that the Armenian General Benevolent Union has carried out different kinds of programs for thousands of Syrian-Armenians in Armenia over the past five years and has carried out several projects through cooperation with the RA Ministry of Diaspora. The AGBU will continue its programs for Syrian-Armenians this year, and those programs are mainly aimed at helping solve their social issues and their problems with education and healthcare.
