On January 16, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Deputy Minister of Economy of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Sergey Shahverdyan.

Greeting the guest, the Minister attached importance to programs for revitalizing tourism in Artsakh and particularly mentioned the following: “Karabakh has all the preconditions for the development of tourism. Besides the exceptional nature and people, it also attracts tourists with its museums and Armenian traditions. It would be nice to launch the “Have you visited Karabakh?” movement within the framework of the “What are YOU doing for Karabakh?” movement. Diaspora Armenians will definitely visit Karabakh. Once you see Karabakh, you will definitely fall in love with the land, water and people.”

The sides discussed the frameworks for cooperation and indicated the future actions.

Sergey Shahverdyan expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and touched upon the importance of the initiative of gearing the “What are YOU doing for Karabakh?” movement towards the development of tourism.
