An event dedicated to the 75^th anniversary of the establishment of the SAMA Armenian Club was recently held in São Paulo on the sidelines of the events dedicated to the anniversary that were launched in November. Among the participants of the event was RA Ambassador to Brazil Ashot Galoyan.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador congratulated the gathered on the 75^th anniversary of SAMA Armenian Club and praised the organization’s history and its role in organizing community life and preserving the Armenian identity.

Ambassador Galoyan particularly addressed the need to bring a new sweep and convey new quality to the partnership between Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora and emphasized that the common goal of all Armenians is to ensure Armenia’s long-term socio-economic development and the consolidation of all Armenians around Armenia. In his speech, the Ambassador also suggested that the Armenians of Brazil pay heed to the recent call of the President of the Republic of Armenia and undertake new pretentious initiatives to achieve the common goals of Armenia and all Armenians.

Every year, according to the established tradition, SAMA Armenian Club pays homage to a merited activist of the Armenian community, and this year that activist was benefactor Astghig Kisajigian, who has made great contributions to the community and to the strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations.
