VIVA OPERA concert to e held at Geneva’s Victoria Hall
On December 3, the prestigious Victoria Hall of Geneva will host the grand VIVA OPERA concert, which will be the third event that is part of the VIVA concert series of the AVETIS Armenian-Swiss organization. The concert will feature performances by People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia Barsegh Tumanyan; soloist of the Opera House of Armenia and the Marin Theater of Saint Petersburg Hovhannes Ayvazyan and recipient of international awards, soloist of Geneva’s Grand Opera Varduhi Khachatryan.
As reported the organizers to Hayern Aysor, the concert will also feature performances of the best samples of Western European operas. The singers will perform with the accompaniment of the Armenian-Swiss AVETIS FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA of Geneva, which will be conducted by conductor of the Opera House of Armenia Harutyun Arzumanyan. The principal conductor of the orchestra is renowned violinist Sergey Ostrovsky, and the director and artistic director is Varduhi Khachatryan.
The Avetis Armenian-Swiss cultural organization was established in 2011 by recipient of international awards, soloist of Geneva’s Grand Opera Varduhi Khachatryan. The organization is involved in disseminating Armenian culture in Europe and introduces European audiences to Armenian musicians.
In 2015, the organization established the Armenian-Swiss symphony orchestra, which is conducted by an Armenian conductor during each concert.
