ADLP “Mirak”: “We thank RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan for this initiative”
Praising the commendable initiative of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan for Artsakh, the board of the “Mirak” Youth-Student Movement of the Armenian Democratic-Liberal Party (Ramgavar) (ADLP) responded to the call of the RA Ministry of Diaspora (“What are YOU doing for Karabakh?”) and made a decision to join the movement.
The board and members of “Mirak” Youth-Student Movement organized a visit to Yerablour Military Pantheon as the beginning of the events to be held as part of the movement devoted to the improvement of social and economic conditions of Artsakh and the people of Artsakh.
On November 20, the members of the Movement gathered at Tekeyan Center where the Movement’s representative, member of the ADLP Central Committee Alexan Karadanian told the members of the Movement about this commendable initiative. Afterwards, they headed towards Yerablour Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the sons of the Armenian nation who sacrificed their lives for Armenian independence.
Gathering in front of the Martyrs’ Monument, they raised the signs of the movement “What are YOU doing for Karabakh?” and sang the marching song of Tekeyan with great motivation. Afterwards, they toured the pantheon and visited the tombs of Warrior Andranik, Commander Vazgen Sargsyan, deceased freedom fighters and the fighters of ASALA.
The members of “Mirak” were accompanied by vice-chairman of the ADLP Central Committee Levon Bilikhian and Silva Bilikhian.
Stopping in front of the tombs of honorable members of the ADLP Aramayis Ohanyan and Hrach Lusinyan, Levon Bilikhian briefly explained to the members about them. Later, the youth visited the tombs of the martyr/heroes of the Artsakh war in April and burned incense near the tomb of junior sergeant of the Defense Army of Artsakh Robert Abajyan, who died heroically in Martakert and was posthumously awarded with the highest title of “Hero of Artsakh” and the Golden Eagle Order.
