Members of Armenian language clubs of Munich join “What are YOU doing for Karabakh?” initiative
The Armenian Compatriotic Union of Munich has joined the “What are YOU doing for Karabakh” initiative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. “The members of the Armenian language clubs of our community have joined the initiative. We will also try to spread the word through the Union” Stella Ghambaryan said during a conversation with Hayern Aysor.
The Armenian Compatriotic Union of Munich was established in 1962. In 1972, the Union started offering Armenian language courses held by Mrs. Tayis.
Throughout the years, teachers have been replaced, but the goal of the Union is the same, and that is to help the future generations grow with knowledge of the Armenian language. Thanks to hard work of the volunteer teachers, the Union has laid strong foundations to promote the enhancement of the language and the preservation of the Armenian identity.
Today, the community has the following Armenian language clubs: Western Armenian for adults (under the direction of Mrs. Mannik Ibirisim), a classroom for pre-school children (under the direction of Mr. Ara Ghazaryan), an Armenian language beginners club (under the direction of Mrs. Stella Ghambaryan) and the classroom for those who have knowledge of the Armenian alphabet (under the direction of Mrs. Naira Manukyan).
