Nagorno Karabakh tourism, production, culture to be presented in Brussels

“Artsakh Days” will be held in Brussels November 16-19. Bedo Demirdjian, liaison of the ARF Armenian National Committee of Europe, says multiple events are planned during those days. “First of all, political meetings are scheduled with local lawmakers and others. Meetings will be held with political scientists, diplomats and academicians.

The latest developments in Nagorno Karabakh, state-building will be presented”, he said. In addition to political events, cultural events are also scheduled, tourism opportunities of Nagorno Karabakh will be presented, as well as products made in Nagorno Karabakh. “In terms of economy, there are two big initiatives. The first is the NKR tourism expo, where travel agencies of Brussels will be briefed on the tourism opportunities of Nagorno Karabakh. NKR tourism will be presented as an alternative location – mountaineering, valleys, nature etc.”, Demirdjian said. During the “Days of Artsakh” in Brussels, various products made in Nagorno Karabakh will be presented, for example – beverages, deserts, carpets. Mr. Demirdjian says this event is the continuation of the work which began years ago.

“Within the framework of these events, Nagorno Karabakh will be presented not in the light of conflict, after all, Nagorno Karabakh is not only war, there are people here who build their country, have their own culture, traditions, tourism”, he said, adding that these events will raise awareness on Nagorno Karabakh among Europeans.
