Brandy production has grown by 7.4 percent in Armenia, up to 13 million liters

In January-September 2013, Armenia produced 13,146.8 liters of brandy, which is 7.4% more than the indicator in the same period in 2012 (12,238.4 liters). As the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports, in the same period, Armenia produced 6,556.7 liters of vodka, which is 6.4% less than the indicator in 2012 (7,003.9). In addition, in January-September 2013, Armenia produced 4,062.8 liters of wine, compared to 2,300.3 liters in 2012 (35.3% growth). Champagne and wine production has grown by 55.6%, making up 195.7 thousand liters. In the period in review, Armenia has produced 15,187.5 liters of beer, which is 38.4% more than the period between January and September 2012, reaching up to 10,971.2 liters.
In January-September 2013, Armenia produced 41,607.7 liters of non-alcoholic drinks, which is 40% more than the indicator for the same period in 2012 (29,730.1).
As of 30 September 2013, Armenia has produced nearly 152,000 tons of grapes. During a press conference in Yerevan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Samvel Galstyan expressed confidence that the amount of harvest in 2013 will exceed last year’s amount (241.4 thousand tons).
In the current year, the price of grapes made up 145 drams per 1 kilogram, compared to 142.1 drams in 2012. The amount of produce in 2012 made up 156,600 tons, and as of 27 September 2013, it made up 92,193 tons.
