Reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in France

On October 5, the regional council of Ile-de-France organized a reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence. As reported Nouvelles d’Armenie, among the attendees were Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Vigen Chitechyan; Deputy of the French National Assembly from Bouche-du-Ron Valerie Buaye; member of the France-Armenia Friendship Group Jean-Marc Jermen; prominent French-Armenian political figure, member of the right-wing political party Patrick Devedjian; vice-president of the France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Senator of the Val de-Mar Department, Mayor of Alfortville Luk Carvunas; head of the Ile-de-France region Valérie Pécresse; President of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France Ara Toranian; President of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) Mourad Papazian; President of the “Christians of the East in Danger” Chredo Organization Patrick Karam and representatives of the local Armenian community.
In his Valérie Pécresse congratulated everyone on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and added that she would like to deepen cooperation with Yerevan through a pretentious program. Ara Toranian emphasized that Armenia’s Independence is of a greater significance for the inheritors of the Armenian Genocide who have a love for justice and referred to Armenia’s Independence as a miracle. Patrick Karam talked about Nagorno-Karabakh and voiced confidence that Artsakh would continue to be an Armenian state.
