Event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in Antwerp

On September 25, the NUARD Armenian Cultural Union of Belgium held an event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia in the Belgian city of Antwerp, as reported the press service of NUARD Armenian Cultural Union to Hayern Aysor.

The Master of Ceremonies was President of NUARD Armenian Cultural Union Gevorg Minasyan, who talked about the past and present of Armenia and congratulated the attendees on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. The children’s and youth groups of Barekamutyun Dance Ensemble, well-known violinist Ara Hakobyan, singer and painter Levon Tadevosyan, musician/singer Harutyun Harutyunyan and other individual performers and groups received warm rounds of applause from the packed audience.

After the concert, the attendees viewed the exhibition showcasing the portraits by painter Gegham Melikyan with interest. The event was followed by the presentation of Gevorg Minasyan’s book “Belgium and the Armenians”, which is about the Armenians who have settled in Belgium since the 3rd century.
