Varujan Vosganian’s novel “Book of Whispers” competing for Angelus Central European Literature Award in final stage

The novel “Book of Whispers”, a book by Romanian-Armenian writer, Senator Varujan Vosganian and devoted to the Armenian Genocide, is one of the books competing for Poland’s Angelus Central European Literature Award in the final stage. Established in 2006, the Angelus Central European Literature Award is considered one of the most prestigious awards for prose writers in Central Europe. The jury only selected 7 books from among the 70 books presented for the award, and one of the books is Varujan Vosganian’s famous novel.

According to Hayern Aysor, in addition to the Angelus Award, there is also a Popularity title (Natalia Gorbanevskaya Award), the recipient of which is determined by readers. Varujan Vosganian’s readers around the world, including in Armenia can participate in the vote. The titles of the books are listed vertically on the right side of the website (http:/angelus.com.pl), and there is a GLOSUJ button under each title (the title “Book of Whispers” is “KSIEGA SZEPTOW” in Polish and is the last one on the list). By clicking on that, you can vote for our compatriot.

The online vote for the Popularity title will last until October 12, and the grand prize will be granted in Vrotslav on October 15.
