The Holy Father of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Franciscos supports a diplomatic resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This statement was made by Vatican’s representative in Baku Monseigneur Vlatimir Fekete during a press conference.

As noted by the “Trent” news agency, in his words, the Catholic church is opposed to war and calls on the resolution of such conflicts through peaceful means.

At the same time, Fekete underlined in his statement, that the Catholic church does not deal with the Nakorno Karabakhconflict.

The priest could not give a definitive answer to the question whether this issue will be discussed during the Pontiff’s visit to Baku.
