On September 5, the official Opening Ceremony of the 173-rd scholastic year of Theological Seminary of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem took place in the Seminary’s events hall.

After the members of Sts. James Brotherhood entered the hall the seminarians performed the anthems of the Theological Seminary, after which the dean of the Seminary Rev. Fr. Teodoros Zakaryan red the parable of the “Sower” from the Gospel. After the reading of the parable Rev. Fr. Teodoros Zakaryan delivered a welcoming speech. Thereafter His Beatitude Ach. Nourhan Manougina, the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem delivered a speech and blessed all the seminarians and the members of teaching staff.

After the Opening Ceremony the members of Sts. James Brotherhood met with the members of the teaching staff.
This year the Theological Seminary counts 30 student. 14 new recruited seminarians will join the Seminary in two weeks.

The Theological Seminary of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem is the oldest seminary in the Armenian Church which was established in 1843.
