Requiem Service in memory of well-known Diaspora Armenian figure Kevork Kantaharian
On August 28, a Requiem Service was performed on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the death of well-known Diaspora Armenian cultural and educational figure Kevork Kantaharian following a Divine and eternal Liturgy at St. Mary Armenian Church in Södertälje, Sweden. The Requiem Service was conducted by pastor of the Armenians of Scandinavia, Vicar of the Patriarchal Delegate, Fr. Archimandrite Yeghishe Avetisyan.
His Holiness touched upon the life and career of Kevork Kantaharian, remembering the great contributions that he has made to the spheres of culture and education in particular and the highest awards that the Diaspora Armenian figure earned for his highly appreciable contributions in the public, social and religious sectors.
Let us remind that Requiem Services have also been performed at the St. Mary Church of BIkfaya, Holy Etchmiadzin, the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of Athens (Apostolic Prelacy) and the Taladuran Church of Kessab.
On September 4, a Requiem Service will be performed at the Armenian church in the French city of Valence.
