On August 22, representatives of the Support Armenia charity organization provided financial assistance to the children of servicemen who fell in the four-day Artsakh war in April during a ceremony held within the scope of the Support Our Soldiers project at Vallex Garden Hotel Complex in Stepanakert.

According to Artsakhpress, the goal of the Support Our Soldiers project is to show ongoing support to the children of servicemen who were killed in the four-day Artsakh war in April.

This is the initiative of the Los Angeles-based Support Armenia charity organization.

Co-founder of the organization Hovik Zirakyan informed that on 12 June, Support Armenia charity organization held the Support Our Soldiers Telethon, which was aimed at providing all proceeds to the families of soldiers who fell in the four-day war in April and to the wounded soldiers.

According to Zirakyan, the program will be ongoing.

Zirakyan adds that the idea of creating the organization came up during the days of the military operations in April. Co-founder of Support Armenia charity organization Lilya Avagyan informed that 33 families of soldiers killed during the military operations and with children would also receive assistance through the Support Our Soldiers project.

“Our goal is to show ongoing support to the children of those families until they become adults. We will also visit the wounded soldiers who are still undergoing treatment,” Avagyan said, adding that the organization will provide financial assistance to the families of the fallen soldiers every month.
