Turkish judge of trial over Hrant Dink murder arrested

Rustem Yilmaz, chief judge of the trial over the murder of Istanbul-Armenian journalist and former editor-in-chief of Turkey’s Agos weekly Hrant Dink, was arrested today.
Police found and apprehended him in the Turkish city of Manisa, writes t24.com, according to Artsakhpres.
Yilmaz is charged with having ties with terrorist groups.
This arrest is also part of police officers’ special operations under the guidance of the Turkish government following the military coup attempt that failed on July 15.
A military coup attempt was made in Turkey on July 15. After the attempt, Turkey arrested representatives of the armed forces and other structures, stopped the publication of several newspapers and closed down several centers and organizations and declared a state of emergency. President of Turkey Recep Tayyib Erdogan blames founder of “Hizmet” (“Service”) religious movement and his opponent Fetullah Gulen for the military coup attempt. Gulen currently lives in Pennsylvania.
Dink was murdered on January 19, 2007.
