Armenia’s representative at New Wave Junior 2016 song contest, eight-year-old singer Misha (Mikayel Grigoryan) won second place.

Misha, who is originally from Artsakh, performed the song “Little Man of Karabakh” on the first day of the contest and earned 87 out of the 88 possible points. On the second day, he performed the world hit song “Uptown Funk”.

Russian singers Alexey Zabugin, 13, and A VA Trio shared first place. The third place winners were 11-year-old Saduakas Zhanel from Kazakhstan and 10-year-old Maria Mironova from Russia.

The final stage of the song contest was held at Artek Center of Crimea on August 11-13.
