Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan visited the military unit and military position located in the northeastern sector of the border of Armenia.

At the military unit, the Minister and the attendees saw how soldiers attacked and neutralized the conditional enemy.

After the presentation, the Minister greeted the soldiers and the attendees and granted awards to the soldiers who participated in the presentation.

“It is an honor for me to deliver a report on the border with Armenian soldiers and commanders. They are soldiers who protect the security of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic day and night. This year, we are guided by the motto “prepared commander, professional army, secure homeland” and have declared the year as the year of training of commanders, meaning that the emphasis will be placed on improving the knowledge, skills and capacities of commanders that will ensure the general growth and advancement of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Although the first semester of the year was very tense and difficult, the armed forces met their objective with honor. We ensured the tranquility of the Armenian people by protecting the borders and through on-duty military service,” the Minister stated.

Seyran Ohanyan attached importance to the preparation of soldiers and armor and military equipment as the two factors for ensuring victory in military operations. He emphasized that when we talk about soldiers, we need to emphasize the formation of a general system of human resources management, which is a priority in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the Minister, replenishment remains the major issue. Ohanyan stressed the fact that steps are being taken to ensure a high level of education.

The Minister of Defense also emphasized that several major conclusions have been drawn after the analysis on the four-day war.

In particular, “we identified all the positive sides that served as a basis for successes and victories and, of course, we also drew conclusions regarding the omissions and supplements. Taking all this into consideration, we paid attention to the positive results of the four-day war in all stages of the learning process and came to the conclusion that the military plan for the armed forces has been completely in action over the past couple of years.”

Ohanyan stressed the fact that armor and military equipment, the generosity towards that, the high level of exploitation that has allowed the Defense Army to meet all of its objectives in different stages, also play a major role.

“Of course, taking into consideration the mistakes that have been made, we have carried out different types of military drills and trainings based on a new strategy, new forms of operations and the formation of military procedures,” the Minister stated, according to yerkirmedia.am.
