Shushi to host 4th Hakob Gyurjyan International Sculpting Symposium

August 10th will mark the launch of the 4th Hakob Gyurjyan International Sculpting Symposium in Shushi.
This is what Director of the Museums of the City of Shushi SNCO Lusine Gasparyan told Artsakhpress, adding that the already traditional sculpting symposium in Shushi serves as a platform for international cooperation, as well as for artists to create and engage in cultural and professional dialogues.
The opening ceremony of the symposium will be held on August 10 at the grove of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Shushi and will gather dozens of sculptors from the USA, China, Poland, the Russian Federation, Armenia and Artsakh.
“The sculpting symposium serves as an opportunity to gather our old and new sculptor friends and create works of art that will form a part of the new cultural image of Shushi and remind one of the eternity of that which is beautiful and spiritual,” Gasparyan said, stating that the symposium is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Future Generations Foundation.
