On October 16, national benefactors, main donators of the Izmirlian Medical Center which is under the auspices of the Armenian Church, Mr. and Mrs. Dikran and Helena Izmirlian, as well as members of the family and representatives of the Izmirlian Foundation paid a visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

At the spiritual center of all Armenians, the Izmirlians were introduced to the educational and disciplinary activities carried out by the Mother See, as well as preaching, church construction and social work.

The benefactors, under the leadership of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, also visited the Mother Temple, the Holy Archangels Church and the Ruben Sevak Museum, as well as different structures of the Mother See and bowed in memory of RA National Hero, Lifetime President of the AGBU, the late Alex Manoogian and his wife, Marie Manoogian.

During the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians gave his blessings and expressed his appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Dikran and Helena Izmirlian for their love for the church and dedication to the nation, which made it possible to carry out the pro-national program and open the Izmirlian Medical Center. Catholicos Karekin II emphasized that the renovation of the Center and the creation of favorable conditions laid new foundations for this medical institution, which will have an important place in the social programs carried out by the Armenian Church with its benevolent acts.

In his turn, Mr. Dikran Izmirlian expressed joy for the opening of the medical center named in memory of his late parents, Sarkis and Mary Izmirlian and wished that the medical center becomes the best one in Armenia and the entire region. Mr. Izmirlian also expressed willingness to do everything possible to support the hospital’s mission so that it continues to provide people in need of medical treatment.

After the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Izmirlians visited the Hrach and Susan Tufaian Armenian Center, reports the press office of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
