German police report 10 deaths and 16 injuries following the shootings that took place in Munich. There are adolescent victims and injured children. This is what Chief of Police of Munich Hubertus Andre announced during a news conference, writes TASS, citing Reuters.

According to NTV, the gunman was an 18-year-old Iranian man who is a German and Iranian national. It is stated that he has been living in Munich for several years now. A police officer emphasized that, according to the police, the attacker was alone and hadn’t had any contact with law-enforcement authorities in the past. His body was found during a special firearm search operation. In the beginning, it was reported that there were three attackers. It is assumed that the Iranian man committed suicide. The motives behind the attack are unclear.

Munich has declared a state of emergency.
