22nd Student Forum of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society kicks off
The Student Forum of Hamakzayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society is one of the traditional programs of Hamazkayin. It is an event that gathers Armenian university students of different countries, helps introduce them to their national roots and cultural heritage and makes them feel committed to the nation.
This year, Hamazkayin’s Student Forum will be held from July 16 to 30, bringing together nearly 35 young Armenians representing Armenian communities of seven countries (USA, Lebanon, Syria, France, Sweden, Russia, Cyprus, Georgia), as well as participants from Armenia and Artsakh, as reported Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society to Hayern Aysor.
During the 15-day program, the young students will have the opportunity to meet with Armenian intellectuals and public and political figures, listen to lectures devoted to Armenian history and culture and discuss various issues concerning modern-day Armenian youth with their peers in Armenia.
During the Student Forum, the Diaspora Armenian students will be hosted at Yerevan State University, the American University of Armenia, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and will listen to lectures entitled “National Instruments”, “Armenian Communities” “Who is the Armenian?”, “Armenian Painting” and more.
The participants of the forum will also visit Artsakh, be hosted at the National Assembly and visit a military unit of the Armenian Army through a three-day program.
