Georgian-Armenian Diocese properly celebrated Holy Translators’ Day

On October 12, the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church celebrated the day of Holy Translators Sahak Partev, Mesrob Mashtots and their students. Holy Translators’ Day is one of the cherished and beloved national and church holidays of the Armenian nation.

The Georgian-Armenian Diocese properly celebrated the Holy Translators’ Day with a concert featuring performances by well-known pianist, former resident of Tbilisi, Germany-based Mamikon Nahapetov on October 11. On October 12, a Divine Liturgy was served by Priest Husik Harutyunyan of the St. Gevorg Church under the direction of Prelate of the Georgian-Armenian Diocese, His Eminence, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan at Holy Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

It should be mentioned that among the several faithful attending the Divine Liturgy were the children of St. Movses Khorenatsi Kindergarten and the students of St. Gregory the Illuminator one-day Armenian school.
