RA governmental delegation discusses upcoming partnership programs with IMF and WB leaders in Washington

By the assignment of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Armenia’s governmental delegation participated in the 2013 annual conference of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington.
Chief of Staff of the RA Government, Minister Vatche Gabrielyan, RA Ministers of Finance and Economy David Sargsyan and Vahram Avanesyan had meetings with the leaders of the IMF and the World Bank during which they discussed those organizations’ programs to be implemented in Armenia in the years to come and the directions for those programs.
The International Financial Corporation, which is a member of the World Bank Group, will be making a 160 million dollar investment in Armenia’s economy in the next four years.
The Armenian delegates also discussed issues related to Armenia’s new development strategy and the inclusion of new resources for different sectors of the economy with the leaders of the World Bank.
The sides also touched upon the details of the technical assistance that the International Monetary Fund will be providing to Armenia.
