Commemorative football championship dedicated to memory of four-day Artsakh war victim Tigran Berakchyan is over
July 11th marked the end of the commemorative football championship that kicked off on July 6 in the Lomaturtskh village of Akhalkalak region and was dedicated to the memory of Javakhk-Armenian Tigran Berakchyan, who was born in Lomaturtskh and killed in Jabrayil during the four-day Artsakh war. Among the participants were the winning teams of different administrative bodies of the region, as reported akhaltskha.net to Hayern Aysor.
This championship served as an opportunity for the young Armenians of Javakhk to commemorate 20-year-old Tigran, who sacrificed his life for the homeland. The goal was to educate the young generation with the patriotic spirit of the boys who fell during the war. Heroes like Tigran, who dedicated their life to the sacred act of saving the homeland, now serve as the bridge that will lead us to the future.
On July 11, the teams of the Ekhtila and Merenya villages participated in the final stage of the commemorative championship. The team of Ekhtila village won the match 3-2 and won first place, followed by the team of Merenya and the team of Agana village. Senior member of the team of Ekhtila Chaush Samvelyan, who scored nine goals, scored the most goals during the match.
The match ended with an awards ceremony during which head of Lomaturtskh village Aghvan Berakchyan, the director of the local school Hovhannes Shoraghyan and delegate of the regional council representing the Azarveti administrative body Grigor Tsormutyan granted medals and certificates to the teams in the first, second and third places and wished all the participants more success and victories.
