ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Europe meets with German Ambassador to Belgium
On June 27, the delegation of the ARF-D Armenian National Committees of Europe and Belgium, including Chairperson of the ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Europe Kaspar Garabedian, communication correspondent of the ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Europe Bedo Demirjian, Chairperson of the ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Belgium Lianna Margaryan and Secretary Ashkhen Fiksova, visited the Embassy of Germany and met with the Ambassador of Germany to Belgium.
The main purpose of the visit was to express words of appreciation to the Germans for the adoption of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide by the German Bundestag. The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the visit, stating that the adoption of that resolution will lead to the acknowledgement of Germany’s complicity and is aimed at helping Turkey confront its past.
During the meeting, the sides also talked about the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, taking into consideration the fact that Germany is chairing the OSCE.
The Ambassador affirmed that Germany would stick to the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and the co-chairs.
