On June 27, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan held a consultation with Deputy Ministers Serzh Srapionyan and Vahagn Melikyan, Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Firdus Zakaryan, the heads of departments and divisions, the directors of the “Homeland-Diaspora Center” SNCO and the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, as well as the editor-in-chief of “Hayern Aysor” (Armenians Today) electronic newspaper.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan touched upon the Pope’s visit to Armenia, expressed her satisfaction with the ensuring of participation of Armenian children of the Near East in the Ecumenical Ceremony with Pope Francis at Republic Square in Yerevan and expressed gratitude to all those who had helped transfer the children to Armenia and make the event a success.

The Minister attached importance to the proper organizing and coverage of the opening ceremonies of the “Diaspora” Summer School Program and the third stage of the “Ari Tun” Program (6 July) and assigned to solve all organizational issues in a timely and effective manner.

The completed activities were presented, and importance was attached to ensuring the level of efficiency of activities with communities and active efforts.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan attached special importance to the final preparations for the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival. The heads of departments and divisions were assigned to submit reports on the activities that have been carried in the first semester of the year. The Minister also gave other assignments and designated correspondents and coordinators.
