Paying heed to the request of Asbarez newspaper’s editorial staff, well-known businesswoman, benefactor Silva Chakmakian has donated 5,000 dollars to cover the expenses for digitization and classification of the newspaper’s archives of the past five years.

Mrs. Chakmakian’s donation is also symbolic in that she is making this donation on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Ministry of Diaspora as a token of appreciation of Hranush Hakobyan and her efforts.

Taking into consideration the fact that Asbarez provides wide coverage of the activities of the Ministry of Diaspora, Mrs. Chakmakian considered it appropriate to express her support to the efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation between Armenia and the Diaspora.

The staff at Asbarez expresses its deep gratitude to Mrs. Chakmakian, who has always been willing to extend a helping hand to the newspaper.
