РусскийPope greeted at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
The Pope arrived at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin with the accompaniment of Armenian clergymen and cardinals and to the sounds of church bells.
At the Mother Cathedral, the Pope was greeted by children holding the flags of the Vatican and the Republic of Armenia, as well as by servants of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Catholic Church.
There were also faithful who wanted to see the Pope and receive his blessing.
At the Mother See, the Pope kissed the holy cross and the Bible, and the Welcoming Ceremony was held with the participation of the church choir.
