Investigation launched against Turkish judge for taking photo with and comment on Armenian writer
According to the Turkish Hurriyet newspaper, the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Turkey has launched an investigation against member of the Court of Appeals of Istanbul, Judge Kemal Shahin, as reported Ermenihaber.
Among the proofs presented for investigation are a photo that Shahin and his two daughters took with Armenian writer Meguerditch Markosian at a book fair in Istanbul and the articles condemning the murders of civilians in Jizreh and Sur and criticism of the government and the legal system.
The Turkish judge left the following comment after posting his and his daughters’ photo with the Armenian writer: “My daughters, Yaren and Dilan and I apologized to Master Meguerditch Markosian, from the son of a nation that you dispersed from the “district of gyavurs” and scattered them here and there like particles of a tzbex.”
