Events dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of Armenia’s independence held in New York

As reported by the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”, different ceremonies dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of Armenia’s independence were held in New York and New Jersey under the patronage of the RA diplomatic representation to the UN and the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church. A patriarchal wish was made during a solemn ceremony held at St. Vardan Armenian Church in New York.

Community organizations participated in the festive events and concerts, which included speeches by RA Ambassador to the UN Karen Nazaryan, who attached importance to the youth’s participation in the events dedicated to the homeland’s independence and the efforts aimed at shaping the Armenian identity among Diaspora Armenian youth, which are called for further reinforcement of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora triumvirate.

On September 21, for the first time ever, the U.S. Eastern Prelacy and the RA Permanent Representation to the UN organized a bicycle race with dozens of youth. The bike race pretends to be classified as an annual event dedicated to Armenia’s independence in the East Coast.
