On May 31, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Istanbul-Armenian pianist, interpreter of ethnic music, pedagogue, writer and producer Shahan Artsruni.

Greeting the musician, Minister Hranush Hakobyan asked about his plans, presented the cultural and pan-Armenian programs and projects of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and invited him to participate in the September 21-26 Festival of the Duduk and Other Armenian Instruments, which will be held as part of the 3^rd “My Armenia” Pan-Armenia Festival.

Shahan Artsruni expressed gratitude for the invitation and stated that he would also give concerts in Armenia’s provinces during the festival.

Talking about his current activities, the musician attached importance to the release of his eight albums devoted to Komitas, Komitas’s contemporaries, Alan Hovhannes, Diaspora Armenian composers and Aram Khachaturian, as well as women composers and the works of notable musicians performed by children.

The musician stated that his goal is to disseminate his albums to all libraries of the world and make Armenian music recognized abroad.
