Armenian music is heard in the yard of the Holy Resurrection Church in the Hadrut region of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The members of the children’s creative center dance, and the children of the local music school play music.
The May 1 concert in Hadrut was a unique ceremony commemorating those who died in the war in April. In an interview with Radiolur, Director of the Children’s Creative Center Ira Tamrazyan stated that they had never stopped rehearsing, even when the opponent was firing at Hadrut during the first ten days of April.
Established 80 years ago, the Center has 320 students and 25 clubs. It is the only one in Artsakh with a club for airplane models. Director Ira Tamrazyan shared an interesting story about the members of the club.
There are tapestries on the walls of the Center that mainly portray the sites worth seeing in Hadrut. There are also works devoted to the war, and they have always been current.
The music school of Hadrut is located next to the Children’s Creative Center and has 108 students. In an interview with Radiolur, director Julieta Hayrapetyan stated that the classes were only interrupted for a couple of days, that is, the first days of April, but now everything is back on track. The three male teachers of the school are currently defending the border.
The Children’s Creative Center of Hadrut is preparing to celebrate its 80th anniversary in the fall. According to Ira Tamrazyan, the Center will celebrate its anniversary, if everything is fine.
