Singer Dalita dedicating her performance in “Kanch” (Call) film to deceased Armenian soldiers (video)
With the support of the Ministries of Diaspora, Defense, Culture and Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the National Cinema Center of Armenia is presenting the film “Kanch” (Call), which is dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
The premiere will be held at Moscow Cinema on April 20.
Staying alive after the massacres in Kessab and Adana, young Vardan and Mihran find themselves in a Turkish military school, one by force, and the other-whether he wanted to or not.
Not having any resort, Vardan submits to the administration of the school, but his visions of his mother, father, grandfather and sister Araxi constantly remind him of the parchment Holy Book that his grandfather had given to him and taken away from him by the Turks…
The video clip for the homonymous film is also ready. The soundtrack features songs by singer Dalita Avanesyan, who is accompanied by little dudukist Tatul Hambardzumyan.
“I was vocalizing for the first time. Words can’t describe how nervous I was and how proud I was to have been able to take part in this pro-national act aimed at preserving of the Armenian identity. Whether it was a coincidence or providence, the premiere of the video clip coincided with the tragic events taking place in Artsakh, and I dedicate my performance to the memory of heroic Armenian soldiers who recently died on the border of Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijan’s military actions,” the singer told Hayern Aysor.
