The Iranians having visited the eastern states of Turkey on Novruz visit the Akhtamar Island of Van and the Van Fortress the most. This is what President of the Society for Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage for Tourism in Van Abdullah Tuncdemir said, according to News.am.

In an interview with the Turkish Milliyet, Abdullah Tuncdemir noted that several Iranians have visited the eastern states of Turkey on the occasion of Novruz and that most of them have preferred Van.

According to Tuncdemir, Iranians prefer to visit the Akhtamar Island of Van and the Van Fortress the most in eastern Turkey. Tuncdemir stressed that all the hotels in Van are 100 percent busy on the days of Novruz.
