On February 27, hundreds of citizens of the Italian city of Trezzano Sul Naviglio attended an event that featured lectures devoted to the history, music and current state of the Armenian people and delivered by leader of the Armenian community of Italy Baikar Svazlian and Italian-Armenian benefactor Karen Keokcian. The event was organized by the Municipality of Trezzano Sul Naviglio, reports the Armenian community of Italy to Hayern Aysor.

During the event, the lecturers showed dozens of photos portraying the past and present of Armenia. They also presented samples of Armenian national dishes prepared by representative of AGBU Italy Gegel Khachadourian.

At the end, the Union of Armenians of Italy submitted a petition to the mayor with the request for the municipality’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
