Concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in New York

On March 13, the Shnorhali four-part choir of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church of New York will give a concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia at the Srpazan Khorhurd (Holy Symbol) Church of New York, reports the choir’s artistic director and choirmaster and opera singer Vagharshag Ohanian to Hayern Aysor.

The choir will perform the songs of classic and modern Armenian composers and will present new songs.

The special guests will be Los Angeles-Armenian opera singer Anahit Nersisyan, Hamazkayin’s Aregak Choir of New Jersey and Diana Vasilyan’s Armstring Group.

Established in 2007, the Shnorhali four-part choir has given concerts in different communities of the Armenian Diaspora, but the concert dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in the proclaimed Actors’ Chapel Hall of the Saint Maghakia Church of Broadway was especially a success.
