Azerbaijani troops make diversion penetration attempt, opponent suffers casualties

On March 8 at around 23:20, the opponent made a diversion-penetration attempt towards the southeast of the Defense Army. As reports the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense, the frontline military units of the Defense Army indicated the advancement of the opponent’s diversion-investigative group on time and threw it back to its positions.
During the crossfire, the Defense Army didn’t suffer any casualties. Based on the information provided by the Defense Army’s corresponding services, the opponent suffered casualties. The details are being specified.
On March 7-8, the opponent fired over 12,000 shots at the Armenian positions with rifles of different diameters on the Line of Contact of the Karabakhi and Azerbaijani forces.
The frontline military units of the Defense Army took adequate actions to pressure the opponent’s attacks.
Besides the above mentioned destructive actions, on March 8, Azerbaijani mass media outlets disseminated information, according to which Armenian troops had opened fire at shepherds in the direction of Chaylu village.
The press service of the NKR Defense Army announces that that is misinformation and that, unlike the Azerbaijani side, the Armenian troops never fire shots at civilians.
